• Microneedling

  What is Microneedling? Microneedling, or collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure used to minimize the signs of aging, improve the appearance of acne scars and rejuvenate the skin. Microneedling will help to tighten the skin and improve texture. The body’s ability to produce collagen begins to decline in the third decade of life, which leads to the development of fine lines and wrinkles. Overall, the decline in collagen production leads to changes in skin texture and tone. A medical grade pen with tiny needles is used to make micro channels in the skin, which stimulate the body’s natural wound healing process leading to cell turnover and regeneration. Microneedling assists in increasing collagen and elastin production, while preventing or reversing the signs of aging. The procedure takes about 30 minutes to complete. Topical numbing medication is worn for 30 minutes prior to treatment. FaceLite LED Facial Mask is worn following microneedling treatment for approximately 10 minutes, this is used to improve tissue oxygenation, eliminate toxins and help accelerate healing by increasing blood flow to the skin. Skin feels tight and appears to have a sunburn for a few hours to a few days after treatment. Changes will be noticeable after a few weeks. A series of 3 treatments is recommended for best results. To optimize results, clients also receive a post-care kit, including cleanser (4 oz), \complex repair cream (1 oz.) and solar shield cream (1.7 oz.). How often do I need Microneedling and what should I expect? In order to see results, you should get at least 3-4 microneedling treatments that are spaced out every 4-8 weeks. Your skin will need ample time to heal between treatments. You will likely notice some immediate improvements after your first treatment, but for best results at least a series of 3 treatments is recommended. To maintain results of your initial series of microneedling, 2-3 treatments per year is recommended. Am I a candidate for Microneedling? Microneedling can treat all skin types, but if you have any of the following conditions in the area you plan to have treated you may not be a candidate: active acne, rosacea, active skin infection, raised keloid scars, actinic keratosis, non-melanoma skin cancers, melanoma skin cancers, eczema, psoriasis, sebaceous hyperplasia, active cold sore or shingles, or open wounds. Microneedling with Exosomes: What are Exosomes? Microneedling with exosomes is a cosmetic treatment that rejuvenates the skin and reduces the signs of aging. The procedure is comparable to microneedling with PRP injections, but exosomes are 100 times more powerful. Exosomes are nanoparticles our bodies release naturally. The exosomes of the skin contain lipids, proteins, amino acids, peptides and growth factors. The exosomes trigger the skin to repair and regenerate. When used with microneedling, exosomes can promote the production of new collagen and elastin. These proteins give the skin its elasticity and firmness. You can see results from exosome treatment much faster than with PRP therapy or microneedling alone. Use of exosomes may reduce the total number of microneedling sessions needed initially and for maintenance phase. Exosomes can be added for an additional fee per treatment area.   Dermal Fillers Juvederm & Versa dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance our body produces. As we age, the level of hyaluronic acid in our body decreases. Fillers are used to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and facial folds, as well as supplement and restore volume and fullness to facial skin and soft tissues. Dermal Filler procedures can take 30-60 minutes. Results last for 6-24 months but can vary by person. Typically, results are seen immediately. Clients should allow 7-10 days for the full effect before evaluating effectiveness.
